Seaford

Seaford is located on the South coast, close to the port at Newhaven and the town of Eastbourne.

The Beach

Seaford was once known for its sandy beaches, however when Newhaven harbour was dredged in the 20th Century, the supply of sand disappeared. The beach was shored up with pebbles initially, however since then sand has been brought in and put on the beach giving it a mix of pebbles and sand.
